Michael received his B.S. in Communications at Norwich University, spent 8 years with the U.S. Army, working as a combat medic. Michael has 20 years professional gym experience and specializes in Pre and Post Natal, Advanced Sports Nutrition, and as a Fitness Facility Manager. Michael is available for one-on-one, 2-on-1, and small group personal training.

About Joanna MontgomeryJoanna Montgomery is the co-owner of Peak Fitness and a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Joanna graduated with a B.A. in Sociology at the University of California, Irvine and a Masters in Education at Pepperdine University. After 7+ years of teaching and working as a teacher leader, Joanna discovered her true passion for fitness and nutrition, and with the guidance of her husband Michael, has been fortunate to learn the ins and outs of the industry. Joanna specializes in Advanced Sports Nutrition. Joanna is available for one-on-one, 2-on-1, and small group personal training.

About Mike RussellMike Russell is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer. Mike achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and has over 10 years’ experience training clients from various backgrounds. Mike specializes in working through limitations to achieve client goals. No matter what your current physical condition may be, Mike can develop a challenging workout plan to improve your fitness. Mike is available for one-on-one, 2-on-1, and small-group personal training. He also teaches Peak Fitness Club’s Motion Cage classes.

About Chris AvilaChris is an AFPA Certified Personal Trainer with an additional certification in Sports Nutrition Consulting. He attended Countryside High School where he first fell in love with fitness. He played competitively on both the football and basketball team. He is currently attending St. Petersburg College for a degree in Health Science and has had 5 years experience as a trainer. Chris is available for one-on-one, 2-on-1, and small-group personal training.

This is a great gym with a lot of different equipment, making it easy to change up your workouts. But the morning group training is the best part about the gym, for sure! The routines are never exactly the same…to keep you on your toes. Never boring. I get a total body workout without having to do any guesswork of my own. It keeps me motivated and I know I push myself harder in the class than I do on my own. Mike Russell is a fantastic trainer and manages to challenge us all without leaving anyone behind. It’s the best way to start my day, no question!
